The Geneva Motor Show has been a hit for many reasons. Amongst them, chief reasons have been the focus on green technologies, and launch of newer models by almost all the automotive manufacturers. As many as 33 new models were launched on the first day of the show, thus making it one of the most active motor shows during slowdown.

Porsche realizes the advent of hybrids and accordingly, it has put on display 918 Spyder that is kind of a marvel in design. When it is Porsche, you can be convinced that the concept car will be a must watch. And, Spyder is one such concept car that everyone will like to possess.

What makes Porsche Spyder so special? Well the first reason is that the aesthetics of the car are absolutely world class, and it seems that the design has been inherited from the Carrera model. However, the design is a definite plus. Inspite of the sheer power offered by the car, it weighs 3285 lbs. The Porsche team has utilized aluminium and magnesium to bring the weight under control. The car comes with a 7-speed PDK gearbox.

Looking at the specifications of Porsche 918 Spyder, it is powered with a 3.4 litre engine that is capable of generating 500 bhp. The weight of the car is 3250 lbs and it reports a fuel average of 78 mpg and a CO2 emission of 70 gm/Km. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kms in 3.2 seconds and boasts of a top speed of 198 mph. It uses a 7-speed PDK gearbox.

Spyder has 4 driving modes starting with a pure electric mode. There is a Hybrid Mode, Sport Hybrid mode and Race Hybrid Mode. The car is equipped with a ‘Range Manager’ that can use satellite navigation system to let the driver find out the distance he can cover over pure electric power. There are electric motors on the front and lithium batteries should be able to provide the power. A look at the car will leave everyone startled. One can hope that this concept actualizes soon!!!

Comparing fleet cards just became easier. Now you can compare fleet cards for your business. You can compare fleet cards using various sites and fuel card options.

( General Motors) was famous for. The Ford Falcon was Ford's very successful economy car model. Essentially the Mustang was built on this proven platform.

When the innovative and trendsetting Ford Mustang automobile legend was introduced to the market, nobody expect its extraordinary increase in sales and fame to automobile enthusiast. It was Jon Najjar and Robert Eggert responsible to make them happened. Ford Motor Company introduced Mustang at the New York World’s Fair in April 17, 1964. Mustang was new design base on the combination of Thunderbird and Ford Falcon.Under the leadership of Ford Company president Robert McNamara Ford had pioneered such concepts as automobile safety and the conceptual marketing of “economy cars” rather than the “big boats” that the market leader G.M. ( General Motors) was famous for. The Ford Falcon was Ford’s very successful economy car model. Essentially the Mustang was built on this proven platform. Ford’s costs and time needed to bring the Mustang to market were little in comparison to a totally brand new product. Production problems as well were not an issue. Hence Ford could readily introduce a very reasonably and low priced sporty product for “60’s” generation and ramp up production in a snap.

Ford Mustangs were overall remarkable for its pony style car models but to Mustang car enthusiasts and “Mustang Guys”, it seems that no matter what every year new models got heavier and larger. The Ford Motor Company designers assigned to revive the Ford Mustangs listened. They went “back to basics” and essentially were forced to bring back to the original 1964 model after receiving several suggestions or what might be considered angry mail from Mustang enthusiasts and Mustang Sport Car Clubs members.

Mustang’s new design was made possible through General Motor Engineers and Larry Shinoda. They were hired by Henry Ford to enhance and conceptualize new car models. Sports Roof Mustang was one of their models that had three-element tail-lamps. This new feature helped drivers to have better vision of passing vehicle through rear mirrors. Mustangs produced in 1970’s were heavier and bigger compared from its first release. Knudsen designed the new Mustang using Torino / Fairline sheet metal. It didn’t succeed because car buyers preferred to have fuel economy and safety cars. Ford Company produced great car models like Boss 351, 429 Cobra Jet and 351 Cleveland. But the Mustang 351 C became the most famous among these models. Mustang 351 C have unique features such as wraparound instrumentation, hidden wind shield wipers, bolt-on facade, modular bolt-in dash board, and monster engine.

Mustang II was the smaller model of the 1965 Mustang. It has been released in 1974 with enhance features like embedded bolt-on outlook with sub-frame to isolate engine harmonics. The power of Mustang II was lessen to save more fuel. It has been released at time when oil supply was unavailable. King Cobra did not live long, though it was designed as an evolution of Mustang II. Thus it gave way to the 1979 Mustang which was based on larger Fox platform with enhanced interior suitable for four persons at the back seat. The trunk, as well as the engine was enlarge to have easy engine maintenance. It has high-end suspension with turbo-charging capability. On the other hand, ‘79 Mustang was used in the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. In effect, Form Company produced 10,000 replicas to meet the demand.

During the 1990’s, Fox 4 models became popular though it’s heavier and under-power. This is also the same era when 4.6L SOHC and DOHC V-8s models were used in the GT and SVT Cobra. The 2005 SN197 is believed the safest car of Ford with three-link suspension and axle. Finally, 2010 models will be soon released for public viewing. No doubt about it the Ford Mustang automobile line was both an innovator and trend setter in the automotive marketing marketplace.

Every year, there are many Canadians who purchase used cars from the United States. The reasons Canadians buy a used car from the US can include: they found a car at a cheaper price, they located a specialty car that cannot be found in Canada, or they are buying a used car from a private seller. If you are planning to buy a used car from the US and bring it to Canada, it is important to understand what the process involves so you do not get held up at the border crossing.

Used cars that are at least 15 years old are allowed to be imported from the U.S. without having to be checked to see if they meet Canada’s emission and safety standards. The age of the vehicle is determined from the month the vehicle was built. Transport Canada’s Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) program is responsible for making sure all imported vehicles meet Canada’s safety standards. Used cars, such as used Hondas that are imported from the US are normally carried by a flat bed truck or driven across the border. Once you have purchased the car, you have to go to that particular state’s Department of Motor Vehicle office to acquire that state’s title. On the state’s motor vehicle department website, you will find the information on how to get temporary registration for the car. Remember, before you can travel with the vehicle, you will need to provide proof of insurance because it is illegal to drive in the US without auto insurance.

To be permitted entry into Canada with a used car, you will need the copy of the vehicle’s foreign registration document. This document provides information about the county of export and the age of the vehicle. You should also have a bill of sale that details information about the vehicle such as the vehicle identification number, make, year, and model, the names and addresses of the seller and purchaser and how much you paid for the used car.

When arriving at the border, a customs official will enter the car’s data into the RIV program. There will be a registration fee of $182.00, except for Quebec, which is $197.00. If the car has to be brought up to Canadian standards, you will have 45 days to do so. You won’t be able to register and license the car in Canada until it is modified and inspected. When you have met all of the import criteria, customs will provide you with a Vehicle Import Form, which is given to your province’s licensing officials. Once the used car meets the standards and passes inspection, you can then get the car registered. As well, you will be responsible for such fees as provincial sales tax on the amount you paid for the vehicle and registration fees.

When buying a car from the US to bring to Canada, it is important to remember that you will not be able to secure leasing or a financing plan, or qualify for any rebates. When purchasing a used car from the US instead of Canada, you have to be aware of the extra fees associated with the import. As with any purchase, always do your research so you do not end up having your car denied access at the Canadian border.

Your car dealership offers a diverse selection of high-quality vehicles, including used cars, trucks, SUVs, minivans, and commercial cars. Choose your dream automobile from both new and honda dealership Toronto to satisfy your driving needs.

It is no secret that our economy is in trouble. This is even more true if you are with the automobile industry.

I worked for Ford Motor Company for thirty five years before I retired. A lot went on from the time I entered on August 3, 1972 till the time I left on March 1, 2007. The vehicles that we made back when I hired in were not very good quality-wise. That I will admit. We didn’t have a lot of competition back then and we knew people were going to buy from us no matter what.

When the oil embargo hit us, many of my friends lost their jobs and never did get them back. I was fortunate to be only laid off for a short time and was called back.

Suddenly the market was taking a long hard look at fuel efficient cars. The Japanese auto makers took this as their entrance into the market. We laughed at their cars. The, “Made in Japan”, label was still something that we found amusing. That didn’t last very long as people started to buy these cars for the money they could save on fuel. This competition would change everything.

We did not realize this at the time, but this competition made us take a long hard look at the products we were producing. Can we make them more fuel efficient, with an eye toward a better quality vehicle? Competition will always make a better product for the public.

I was given the opportunity, with about thirty other Ford employees to go to visit the Mazda Plant in Hiroshima, Japan. It is a part of my life that I will never forget. The Japanese people and the employees of Mazda were the most gracious hosts. I love the people and the country of Japan, and would very much love to go back and visit it again someday.

As we toured the plant, there was an area where the vehicles came off the end of the line and went to a repair area before final shipment. We had this at all out Ford facilities also. We asked if we good go in and see the area, and we were told that it was off limits for us. They said that it was an area where they got the vehicles ready for shipment and there were no repairs needed. Their cars went straight off the line and out the door. We knew better than that. They had repairs. They just didn’t want us to see.

When I look back at my thirty five years of service with Ford Motor Company, we went through a lot of changes and I have to say that when I left we were producing some of the finest quality vehicles on the planet. I would put us up against anything that the Japanese had to offer. What used to rile me to no end, was whenever Ford, Chrysler, or GM had an issue with one of their cars, it was front page news all the time. We took our hits and we made them better. Not so with Toyota.

I used to go around with my family and some of my friends who would swear that American built cars were inferior to the Japanese. Some of them owned Japanese vehicles. I would always argue that I talked with the employees of Mazda and I saw how they were made. They don’t build them any different then we do. They have repairs just like we do, they just don’t own up to it.

For some reason the news media would always find room on their front page when an American car company had a problem with one of their vehicles. Anything that was a negative for a Japanese competitor would be found on the back page of your newspaper, if you found it at all.

Toyota is having some major issues with some of their cars. There seems to be no where to hide for them anymore. The sticking accelerator. The brake problem with their very popular Prius. Now it’s a steering issue as some vehicles are being pulled form side to side. It’s not these issues that have me bothered, it’s the way Toyota has handled them. They had to be pulled out into the open, and even then they refused to admit there were any issues with their vehicles. Some have suggested an attempted cover-up by Toyota.

For all those who bought their cars, you’ll get no sympathy from me. Remember Toyota said you can continue to drive their cars. It may take some time before they can get to your car for repairs, but nothing will happen to you…..you will be OK….You won’t crash….You can count on what Toyota said…..right?

Here is a tricky one : why do some hate french cars ? Renault, Citroen, Peugeot make nice cars, great designs and most of them have good engines. Their only big problem is the auto parts costs, which is very high ( this is one of the reasons french don`t go do auto service too much, they prefer buying another car ), but else, the french models are quite nice.

One model that is indeed special is the new Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 VTi – you can check out the looks of this car and I am sure I do not have to say anything about the engine. A small car with such a powerful engine is like a miniatural beast, you won`t even know when it bites you. Many have rated the engine of the Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 VTi with a 7, on a scale from one to ten, but I would have went one grade higher, up to an eight.

Fuel consumption is not that great though, but you cannot make an agresive car with low fuel consumption, unless you`re japaneese. Here is where I would grade the car with a five. Now we`ll move on to the interior, which I would like to describe it in just one word : fantastic! Ten out of ten, if you`ll ask me and that is really great for a french car that uses a lot of plastic when designing the inside.

Quality price report is allright. Its not expensive for what it has to offer. The starting price for a Citroen C3 Picasso 1.6 VTi is 11.990 euro with VAT included, which is not that much comparable with, lets say, an Opel Meriva. The only serious competition regarding this report would be the Ford Fusion, but some would not choose the second one because of the dull design.

Now here is the question: Would you pick a used toyota cars for sale or a used ford cars for sale instead of a new french car, if the driving and confort options would be a bit better ?

used toyota cars for sale

Utility Terrain Vehicle, UTV, is not a fancy 4×4 but a particular kind of vehicle that’s been built to be very good at all kinds of off road use. You’ll want to make sure you understand what off road means, and when considering the use of an off road or 4×4 vehicle.

First of all, a 4×4 truck or all wheel drive car off of a car lot is not really an all terrain vehicle or even one that should be used in the rough country. They are fine for use on most dirt roads and for farming, but if you really want to go mudding, you. ‘ll find that you. ‘ll have to beef up a lot of parts in an off the lot 4×4. The off the lot trucks and cars are not built to really handle rough country, and usually, the first time you try to go all terrain driving with one, you ‘ll find out the hard way.

Several things can happen should you try a vehicle off the lot for off roading, either the surface is just not conquerable or the unfortunate happens and something breaks. You’ll need a vehicle that’s been specifically made for the job in order to really enjoy your off road adventure. In fact, part of the fun of off roading is preparing a vehicle that’s tough enough.

You can find a bit of help when it comes to UTV or serious off road vehicles. The Internet has a bunch of information about it, and you ‘ll find that a real UTV is actually part car, part sand buggy and part amphibious vehicle. They are really quite unique and are built especially for all terrain use, such as you see the military do.

Today, you can actually purchase a ready made UTV. What used to be a home built job has now been taken on by other sport manufactures such as Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki and others. These vehicle have been built specifically for more than a quad could ever do.

You’ll actually find that there are different types of competition for these sports vehicles and enthusiasts compete in them on a yearly basis. You’ll not only find these sports exciting but you’ll also find they love to help beginners get started.

When it comes to 4×4ing, you’ll want to understand that the vehicle you see advertised on TV are those that are working on a controlled and closed course and if you try to do the same with the vehicle you may have problems. They are showing the vehicle on a course they have built specifically for the advertisement and it would be rare to find the exact same conditions anywhere else.

Be safe when it come to your off road adventure, never take a new vehicle out alone. You may find yourself walking miles back to help due to puncturing something such as an oil pan, something on the vehicle may actually break such as an axle, or you could even become stuck by high centering over rough ground.

Start learning about UTV ’s, then choose the type of off road adventure you ‘d really like and make sure you’re not walking home.

If you are looking to add a little adventure into your boring life, you will want to find a UTV or two that you can take out and enjoy. Find the nearest UTVs distributor now.

If you are one of the proud owners of a Volvo but you are still not satisfied because of the quality of the radio then continue reading this article. This article will show you how to install a radio in a Volvo. Normally installing an aftermarket radio in a car like Volvo is not very difficult if you manage to buy a radio which is compatible with your car. Hence ensure the compatibility of the radio and the car, to ease your work. By following this step by step procedure you can easily replace the radio of your car by yourself, without seeking any professional help.

For completing the installation process you will require nothing but a screw driver and a new radio that will act as the replacement for the old one.

The first thing that must be done is to buy a car stereo which is compatible. It must be enquired for its compatibility for the model of the car. Generally it will consist of wiring harness and mount of proper size for the stereo. Make a small enquiry about this fact before one stereo is purchased. Once the stereo and the other tools are ready, disconnect the battery of the car. In order to disconnect, remove the negative end that is the black wire with the help of a wrench.

There are always some screws that put centre console in its position. Locate these screws and remove it with the help of a screwdriver. The place of the screws differs from one model to other. It might either be below it or on its sides. Once the screws are removed, the console in the centre can be removed and placed aside.

The stereo that we need to replaced is removed and the harness for wiring is disconnected. The wire of antenna is also taken out from the rear side of the system. Now all these steps should be done in reverse for installation of new stereo. The harness for wiring is attached to the stereo to be installed. This connection is made by adapter for wiring harness.

This new stereo is then connected to wiring harness via its adapter. The next thing that must be connected is the wire connecting the antenna. These both connections are made behind this new stereo. Then place this stereo back in its position in the dash.

The last step we should supply power. This can be done by again connecting wire to the battery. The wire is to connected to the negative terminal. This wire will be present usually in black color. The job is done. However it is better to make a final check to see if we have finished installation of new stereo perfectly in our volvo. Just switch on radio. If it plays properly we should pat ourself because we have now become half professional. If it does not work let us not worry . Check if all connections and disconnections are done correctly. The only place where it is little risky top work with is the live wires. So ensure that the battery is switched off.

Follow these simple steps to remove the old radio and install a new radio in your Volvo.

Purchase at the best prices on Radiohalterung, then visit www.powernetshop.at to find the best advice on radio dash kits for you.

Although Honda motor company has produced cars almost as long as they have produced motorcycles, it was not until the gas crisis of the 70s that their fuel efficient vehicles became popular in the United States. Today, Honda continues to manufacture some of the most fuel efficient vehicles available so that used Honda cars are among the most popular used vehicles.

There was a time that the life expectancy of a vehicle was around 100,000 miles. Today, vehicle life expectancy is much greater. Many vehicles remain very dependable at the 200,000 to 300,000 mile range if they have regular service. This makes used vehicles a great bargain.

Used vehicles have always been a way to save money. Once a new vehicle has been driven off the sales lot for the first time, it drops in value by thousands of dollars. By purchasing a used vehicle, you do not experience the loss in value.

Used Hondas are better at retaining their value than vehicles produced by some of the other manufacturers. For the consumer, this means that when you get ready to sell the vehicle that you own, if it has been well maintained, you will get a larger portion of your original purchase price back.

When you purchase a used vehicle, you should have preventative maintenance performed immediately unless the previous owner shows proof of recent servicing. Preventative maintenance should follow the schedule of that the vehicle manufacturer has published in the owner’s manual. Make sure that you read and follow that schedule as maintenance schedules have change significantly in the past few years.

If you purchase a relatively new used vehicle, it may be possible to extend the original owner’s warranty from the factory. There is usually a fee to extend the warranty, so if the vehicle you purchase is near the end of the period, it may not be worth the fee to extend the warranty.

A fairly new service that may be helpful if you are purchasing a used vehicle is that offered by Carfax. By entering the VIN number of the vehicle and paying the fee, you will be able to know about any major repairs that have been made to the vehicle. This will also let you know if the vehicle you are considering has been in an accident. You should purchase your own Carfax report and not depend on one provided by a car dealer.

If you have a trusted auto mechanic, it may also be worth the fee to have him check out the vehicle before you make a purchase. The money you pay for his inspection may save you thousands of dollars in repair bills later on.

If you purchase a used vehicle instead of a new one, you will not qualify for some of the dealer incentives that are offered on new cars. These incentives can often be used as a part of the down payment on the vehicle and may qualify you for more creative financing options than are available on used vehicles. In addition, the interest rate is sometimes higher for used vehicles than it is for new ones.

Used Honda cars can offer you a great value. In many cases, it is possible to save a substantial amount of money by purchasing a slightly used vehicle rather than a new one.

Your car dealership offers a diverse selection of high-quality vehicles, including Honda Toronto, trucks, SUVs, minivans, and commercial cars. Choose your dream automobile from both new and used Formula Honda Toronto to satisfy your driving needs.

In this article we shall learn How to Remove the Car Radio in a Bora. Though this car is not very popular in Asian countries like India and China this Bora is very popular in Europe. Automobile king Volkwagen introduced this car to the European market. Golf and Jetta are nothing but other names of Bora. There exists lot of similarities between these cars. They come with powerful audio system too. However for those wanting to replaced factory installed one with a new radio we should first learn how to remove the car radio in a Bora.

This process does require sophisticated instruments. These may not be affordable. So you can try to hire them. If you get it such way it is well and fine. Else you have to go to get it on your own. The main thing which you require is a tool which is used to take away the radio, especially a double-din in this case. The following lines will brief on the process.

The first thing you need to do is to observe and study your system. This will help you not only to remove the device, but also will help you to detach it in a safe way. When you observe you will find key slots provided in the corners of the system.

The keys must be inserted in this place. The keys will have grooves on them. Introduce them in such a way that the grooves point towards the right, whose slot is on left. Similarly, the grooves need to point towards left, when their slots are on the right.

Move forward the tool used for removal of the radio into the space near the stereo. Then draw the tools and slither down the system from the dash. These works are done with the help of your hands.

The last and third step is very important. As we take out the stereo with one hand with the other hand plugging connection of antenna lead

is disconnected. We also unplug the compact disc changer. We should also remove the connection of GPS leads. Finally the harness for wiring is disconnected after which the clips get released.

Back in the day, one of the best Mercedes Benz’s in the racing class, with it’s rotating headlights, suicide doors, and of course the stylish Mercedes floor mats, was the 1995 sports car. Running on the Autobahn at speeds in excess of 160 mph the world was taken back at such extremes. Hitler had another more devious plan however. His military Panzer Tank Division would be traveling this highway and needed to create high speed tank movement. Weighing in at 100 tons, the tanks could jet over the super-highway at speeds in excess of 100 mph. This made their movement to the east quite easy. Thus the pouring of the cement to the depth of 12 inches.

Mercedes Benz company started with the invention of the first motorcycle in 1886 by Karl Benz. Mercedes Benz adopted safety features and technological advances that many companies years later then implemented.

The Mercedes company has accomplished a following for it’s superb quality control and excellence and only recently, in the late 1990’s, slid to 25th. MB then went to work ramping up with major quality control management plans. By 2009 they have now moved up to 4th just behind the industry leader Toyota. Their attention to the most minute detail became so perverse that the floor mats were even scrutinized for attention.

MB participation in motor sports has been around since its inception. Only a brief period in the late 1930’s and 40’s, due to World War 2, did they take a small sabbatical. They returned to the grand prix circuit in the late 1940’s only to see their efforts dashed with the 1955 disaster at Le Mans. 80 onlookers were killed when a Mercedes Benz 300SLR crashed into another car and blew out into the crowd. This put a damper on the MB Motor-sports division because of the many ongoing lawsuits.

Back intact in 1987 MB Motor-sports Division motor-heads made a come back that eventually won the 1994 Indy 500 and 1994 Cart Indy Car World Series. Today MB Motor-sports is into Formula 1, Formula 3, and DTM racing with no spectaculars as of yet. Still the Mercedes Mats lurk in the information highway waiting to be told. So here goes.

Mercedes engineered the custom Cover King Mercedes floor mats that are heavy duty 40oz. Rubber mats that feature thick non slip nibbed backing. This stops slipping and sliding and has a one year warranty. With a pricetag of $120 dollars for front and back rain, mud, and snow are no match for these beauties. JSimilar to the Autobahn these Mercedes floor mats are built to with stand the extremes. They come in many varieties as far as shapes or colors. Mats can also be customized for a premium price. Racing to keep the coolness of Mercedes Benz up has always been Germany’s best accomplishment, bar none.

It is this important attention to detail that has Mercedes Benz again at the top of the heap with Toyota, Honda, and Ford auto makers.
